It has been a crazy couple of years.

Covid has not only affected the health of everyone, but it has significantly impacted the well-being of our local non-profits.

Think about it. How many fundraising events have been canceled in the last two years? Many non-profits have had to creatively pivot in an attempt to salvage their budgets. Add to that the number of people who curtailed their charitable giving, and we can all agree it’s made things even more challenging for these important organizations in our community.

We truly believe that people want to be charitable. It just needs to be easy. And let’s face it: It’s been anything but easy the last few years. Many of us feel like any small act of kindness we can offer isn’t enough to make a difference. We forget that many small acts add up to large impacts.

It got us thinking; can we do something to change that?

So, we put our heads together and are excited to announce our newest project:

SUMMER OF LOVE

The summer season is extremely busy at our studio. We book up quickly with family portrait sessions as younger children are out of school, older kids are home from college, and everyone’s schedules are a bit more forgiving. Our clients take advantage of all this to update their portraits and check the annual Holiday Card off of their lists. What better time than summer to make giving as easy as possible?

So, Sigmon Taylor has decided to donate ALL SUMMER SESSION FEES to our local non-profits.  We’ll even sweeten the deal - We’ll match your donation in Wall Portrait Credit, up to $500!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Book your Family Portrait Session to take place between now and Labor Day.

  2. Bring a $300 check (or greater) made out to your favorite LOCAL 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to your Design Consultation in order to confirm your spot on our summer calendar.

  3. We’ll mail your check and take nothing ourselves.

  4. Feel great as you do a good deed, and take care of something you’ve been wanting to do anyway!

 The Details:

  1. Sessions must take place before Labor Day.

  2. The $300 session fee must be paid by check, made out to the local non-profit of your choice.

  3. The non-profit organization must have a 501(c)(3) designation.

  4. Your donation covers your session fee. Additionally, we’ll match your donation dollar for dollar in Wall Portrait Credit, up to $500. For example, if you bring a check for $500, your session will be taken care of, and we’ll give you a $500 credit to be used toward any wall portrait 16x20 or larger.

  5. Your donation is non-refundable. Your Wall Portrait Credit cannot be traded for cash and will not be refunded if for some reason you don’t use your session.

  6. Your session is non-transferable. Your family/children will be the subject of the session.

 What is a 501(c)(3) Organization?

A 501(c)(3) organization is a non-profit/charity/foundation/etc. which has been recognized by the IRS as qualifying for tax exemption. The IRS does have a 501(c)(3) Organization Search Feature that you can consult to verify the tax exempt status of your organization.
