1. What is included in the Headshot Event Session?

The Headshot Event Session includes, ten (10) minutes of shoot time on EITHER the natural light background OR the formal background and ten (10) minutes immediately after the session to review and select your favorite headshot image in-person that day. We do recommend that you also plan to arrive ten (10) minutes early for your session that way you have a chance to check yourself in the mirror one last time, and correct any stray hairs that may have been caught by the wind on your way in.

2. What is included with the Session Fee?

The session fee includes the session itself and one (1) professionally retouched headshot image of your choice.

3. What if I want more than one (1) image?

Additional images can be purchased for $99 (normally $150) during your image review (immediately after your session).

4. What if I want to be photographed on both backgrounds?

Not a problem! For the sake of time and equity, only one background can be selected per appointment time. If you would like to be photographed on both backgrounds you are welcome to book two (2) Headshot Event sessions, one for each background.

5. Can I bring multiple outfits? How many outfits are included?

Only one (1) outfit will be allowed per appointment time; you should arrive dressed and ready to be photographed. We understand that some people may want assistance selecting the best outfit to be photographed in, for that reason we are happy to review your outfits with you via email ahead of your session day to assist you in making the best selection.

6. What should I wear for my headshot?

It best to wear solid colors, avoiding small patterns and pinstripes. As both backgrounds being offered are neutral, most any color will look flattering against either background. That said, you should avoid shirts and blouses that are entirely white as they will be too stark against the backgrounds; white can also make you look larger and wash you out. For the formal background, we recommend including a neutral suit jacket, or profession cardigan or shawl. For the fit of your clothing, we always recommend to avoid sleeveless and keep clothes as well-fitted as possible.

7. What jewelry should I wear?

We recommend that you stick with simple jewelry pieces that do not distract from your face or clash with your chosen outfit. If you would like assistance in selecting jewelry, we are happy to assist via email ahead of your session time. Also–just for jewelry–if you narrow it down to two or three options, we are happy to assist you at the time of your session in finalizing which pieces to wear for your headshot.

8. Can I book a session to be photographed with my business partner?

Yes. However, for the sake of time and equity, we ask a few things. First, please keep it to groups of two (2) individuals to minimize the background/set modifications we will need to make. Also, each Headshot Event session only accounts for one configuration. So, if you need a group image of you both together, as well as individual headshots, you will need to book three (3) consecutive Headshot Event sessions.

9. How long will it take to receive my finished file(s)?

Since you will be selecting your images at the time of your session, we guarantee that you will receive your finished files within 5-7 business days.

10. How will I receive my finished file(s)?

Your professionally retouched files(s) will be delivered through the file transfer service WeTransfer to the email you provide when you schedule your session time. We use this service to prevent any file compression or alteration that may occur if it is just sent as an email attachment. That said, we will also email you directly at the time of your file delivery so that you can be on the look out for the file download.
